Aims and Objective
- To provide education at the College level to young men and young women who wish to pursue their higher education.
- To provide education which will inspire students for selfless and dedicated service wherever they may be called in any part of the country.
- To provide as far as possible education of a high standard of Scholarship and learning, and to prepare students for their life - work as responsible citizens of the country.
- To provide education which will inspire the students to formulate towards social, economical, political, educational and moral issues of the country
Affiliation & Recognition
P.U. (Arts) section first affiliated to N.E.H.U from 1992. Now HSSLC Class - XI & XII (+2 Level) is affiliated to Meghalaya Board of School Education since 1995 after Government took over the +2 stage.
Three Year Degree Course (TDC) started in April 1992. Provisional affiliation for degree (General) Classes from NEHU was granted from 1992 vide No. CDC/A.98/90 - 2837 date. 18th September 1992
The College at present has been upgraded to Ad-hoc system by the Government of Meghalaya since February 1999.
The College also has been granted Provisional affiliation for Honours in Khasi, Political Science, Education, History, Sociology and Economics from 2000 vide No. CDC/A.98/99 - 2000/1186 date. 20.11.2000.
The College also has been granted "Permanent affiliation" for B.A. (Pass) Course in English, Khasi, History, Education, Political Science, Economics, Philosophy and Sociology with effect from 2nd November 2005.vide No. CDC.A/89/2005/2032 date. 16th Nov. 2005.
The College has been included in the List of Colleges prepared under Section 2(f) & 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956 Inclusion of New Colleges Vide No. F.8 - 114/2006 (CPP-I) date. 04th April 2006
